SYNTHEMA Symposium in Padua: presenting the project’s work and results
As SYNTHEMA nears its conclusion, the project consortium will meet in Padua for a dedicated symposium focused on the work, results and experience developed throughout the project.
Organised by the University of Padua, the SYNTHEMA Symposium will take place on 3 November 2026 at Palazzo della Salute – MUSME in Padua, Italy. The event will welcome researchers, professors, students and representatives from partner institutions.
Under the theme “Building on Real-World Data: Federated Learning, Synthetic Data and the Future of Data-driven Medicine”, the symposium will provide a space to present and discuss different areas of SYNTHEMA’s work.
The programme includes sessions on rare haematological diseases and data sharing, synthetic patient cohorts, federated computing, privacy-preserving approaches and responsible health data research. It will also feature a keynote on trust, responsibility and human values in artificial intelligence, as well as a panel discussion on whether synthetic data can be trusted.
The symposium will run from 09:00 to 17:00.
